A girl in today's society

So today, during my Old Testament class we talked about the first three chapters of Genesis. In these chapters, God created the Earth and everything in it including humans. He created Adam first then made Eve to be his companion and to serve him. To me, this does not mean that woman was created to be a servant of man. I think it means that we were created because we were needed. God saw that Adam, a man, could not reproduce on his own to populate the earth. He needed someone to love and cherish. So yes, even though we were created out of a man, that does not mean that men have the rights to belittle us in any way. After class, my close friend Lana brought something to my attention. Why is it so misconstrued in our society that a man could be in control of a woman in the wrong ways, like assault and abusive relationships, and think he is justified because God made a woman for his use. I think this is caused by our sinful human nature. I personally believe that marriage should be between one man and one woman, to love and to hold each other for the rest of their lives. I believe that this is what God intended when he made Eve for Adam. The man should be the head and protector of the family. He should provide for them and take care of them. I think the woman should raise the kids and take care of all the things her husband needs. I want to make sure that I don't sound like a feminist in any way because I'm not! I just simply think that God has a plan for us and he made it like this for a reason. He has a reason and purpose behind everything he does.

In other news, school is going great so far. Only one more day until the three day weekend, yay. Its been so cold here today and It's supposed to be cold again tomorrow. I don't think it would be that bad if it wasn't for the wind chill. I'm from Colorado so it gets cold, but I have never felt anything like this before. It's almost like a biting cold. It's nasty.

I just added this because I really liked my look today. It was nice and cozy.
