God's Word and Self Worth
Today as I was scrolling through Time-hop I came across a tweet I had shared a few years ago, and it struck something in me that just made me think. It read,
Wow. I feel like we all have days where we feel less than worth it. We feel like our best is never good enough, never pretty enough, never strong enough. Then, it's in the midst of those moments, that God reminds us that we are good enough for him, and that's the only thing that truly matters. He created each and every one of us to be unique in our own ways so there's no reason to feel any less than worth it. I feel like in today's society it is so easy to put others down to make yourself feel better. I personally have picked apart other girls' outfits, bodies, and makeup so that I didn't feel so bad about my own. Lately, I've been trying to find the good qualities of others instead of immediately looking for flaws and it is so satisfying. Looking for the good in others is helping me to look for the good and accept my own flaws, and I think that's really important. It's so very comforting knowing that God created us each unique and with our own purpose. He has a plan and even though we can't always see the bigger picture, it's there. We just have to have a lot of faith.
"How great is it that the same God who created mountains and oceans and galaxies and puppies looked at you and thought that the world needed one of you too."
